Our bodies are stimulated and energised by some colours and calmed and relaxed by others.

Colour works on a subconscious level. mentally and emotionally changing our perceptions and feelings, our moods and well-being.

Colour has significance in religious ritual too. from the saffron robes of Tibetan Budhist monks to the royal blue of the Virgin Mary, the purple of priests to the black and white of birth and death.

From ancient civilizations to the present day, many cultures and religions have regarded colour as a manifestation of light- the divine source from which all things were created.

For this reason it is ascribed to deities, is used in ceremonies, and plays an important role in mysticism and ceremony.

Divinecolours main goals are to help the patient find an inner harmony and discover his or her real purpose in life.

To bring healing and harmony in body and mind. To eliminate stress, negative thoughts and feelings, go to the core of emotional pain and suffering and to turn blocked energy into positive vibrations.

black squareBlack is associated with the mysterious. It is protective and comforting and also the colour of mourning and of a priest's vestments when worn for a requiem mass. Unlike Christianity the Egyptians connected this colour with rebirth and ressurrection.

Black is the shade of objects that do not reflect light in any part of the visible spectrum.

Scientifically black is not a hue (color); a black object absorbs all the colors of the visible spectrum and reflects none of them, this is sometimes confused with black being called 'a mixture of all colors' but that is not the case. Sometimes black is described as an "achromatic color"; in practice black can be considered a color, e.g., the black cat or black paint.
